The HERAS Project:
Reuniting the expertise of two countries, the HERAS Project undertakes to identify the underwater cultural heritage, outcome of thousands of years of common history, with a view to promoting this potent common historical potential and to manage the discoveries, in order to promote tourist attractions in a sustainable manner, in the Constanta-Kaliakra area.
General Objective:
Developing the touristic potential on the Western Black Sea Shelf, by identifying and promoting the resources of the common underwater multi-millenary cultural heritage resources.
Specific Objectives:
- investigating and promoting the common archaeological heritage;
- stimulating cross-border cooperation between research institutes, museums, NGOs, in order to create a consortium of excellence in the field of underwater archaeology;
