„HERAS" Joint Steering Committee
The fourth meeting of the Joint Committee of the project "Underwater Archaeological Heritage of the Western Part of the Black Sea Shelf" HERAS MIS -ETC Code 578, funded by the Romania - Bulgaria 2007-2013 CBC Programme, will take place on November 18, 2014 in Varna , Bulgaria . The event will be organized by the Partner no.3, IO- BAS.
Invitation to Workshop
On November 17, 2014 , IO- BAS, the Partner no. 3 will organize in Varna, Bulgaria, the Workshop "HERAS COMMON ACHIEVEMENTS AND CHALLENGES” . The event will be held at Hotel Golden Tulip Varna, Bulgaria, starting at 10:00 am. All the partners of the „HERAS” project are invited to attend.
Third Joint Steering Committee of HERAS
The Third Joint Steering Committee of the Project “Submarine Archaeological Heritage on the Western Black Sea Shelf” HERAS MIS-ETC Code 578 – project financed under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 – was held on 11th September 2014, at the offices of NIRD GeoEcoMar – Constanta.

HERAS – Training Course in Underwater Archaeology
During 23-26 May 2014, the training session in Underwater Archaeology under the HERAS Project was held in Constanta.
The session was organized in two modules: one at the offices of GeoEcoMar – Constanta branch, and one module – practical training – during 1-4 July 2014 at Mangalia, Jupiter resort.
55 people attended the training, and they shall be soon awarded participation diplomas. The event was advertised in the local press, as well as on the Facebook page of the company that was awarded the contract – SC Octopus SRL.
HERAS Presented at the European Geosciences Union General Assembly
The European Geosciences Union General Assembly was held in Vienna, Austria, during 27th April – 2nd May 2014. Within this event, the Institute of Oceanology of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IO-BAS) has presented the poster “Natural and Anthropogenic Impacts on Historical Heritage along the North Bulgarian Black Sea Coast”, the paper being part of the HERAS Project „Submarine Archaeological Heritage on the Western Black Sea Shelf”.
First Joint Steering Committee of Heras
The First Joint Steering Committee of the Project “Submarine Archaeological Heritage on the Western Black Sea Shelf” HERAS MIS-ETC Code 578 – project financed under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 – was held during 8-9 October 2013, at the offices of GeoEcoMar in Constanta, 304 Mamaia Blvd.
Second Joint Steering Committee of HERAS
The Second Joint Steering Committee of the Project “Submarine Archaeological Heritage on the Western Black Sea Shelf” HERAS MIS-ETC Code 578 – project financed under the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 – was held on 11th March 2014, at the offices of IO-BAS, Varna, Bulgaria.
