He was a second commander on the Mircea Brig, commander on the Transilvania passenger ship, on the Arges oil ship, on the Albesti, Cluj and Timisoara liners and on the Eforie ferry. http://adevarul.ro/locale/constanta/foto-triunghiul-bermudelor-marea-neagra-explica-specialistii-misterele-zona-Sabla-insula-Serpilor-1_542195bb0d133766a85ebbb7/index.html

Who has not imagined himself, at least once, as a child, a companion to the mystical Captain Nemo or a diver aboard the Nautilus, exploring the mysteries of hidden civilizations under the planetary ocean, excitedly skimming through the pages of Jules Verne’s „Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea” or „The Mysterious Island”? Or what Romanian would not frantically await, in front of his TV, the underwater expeditions of the oceanologist Jacques-Yves Cousteau and of the Calypso crew, in their perpetual quest for Atlantis, even on the Western shores of the Euxine Sea, by the entry of ancient Danubius?
